PlayStation E3 conference to broadcast in movie theaters
Sony has announced it will stream its E3 2014 press conference into theaters live, along with extra footage and giveaways. The event is free to attend, but you'll need to RSVP to claim a spot.
At this point, watching the E3 press conferences streaming on your computer or TV is old hat. Sony has decided to take that concept to the next level this year by airing the PlayStation conference live in movie theaters scattered around the the US and Canada, and for free to boot.
The "PlayStation E3 Experience" will include an HD broadcast of the press conference, along with 30 minutes of extras like developer interviews and game footage. It will be hosted by Geoff Keighley, and the announcement suggests some giveaways at the event locations. It's all scheduled to go down on Monday, June 9 at 5:30 PM PT.
To attend, you'll need to find a theater and RSVP. The announcement has a list of participating theaters sorted by state, so you can check if there's one anywhere near you. If you can't make it out to a theater you can watch it streaming, minus the extra footage and giveaways of course.
