Splash Damage's Extraction becomes Dirty Bomb again
Nearly a year ago, Splash Damage's Dirty Bomb became Extraction. Today, it is Dirty Bomb, once again.
Nearly a year ago, Splash Damage changed the name of their free-to-play multiplayer FPS Dirty Bomb to Extraction. The publisher has since had some second thoughts and has decided to go back to the drawing board by re-embracing the old Dirty Bomb title and re-opening closed beta sign-ups.
As has been the case with some of Splash Damage's previous efforts, Dirty Bomb is a team-based FPS centered around completing objectives around London. The city has been abandoned following a terrorist attack and teams must use their unique abilities to take control of the city.
Dirty Bomb is currently running its closed beta and is set to kick off its open beta later this year. Sign-ups are available on the game's website.

i would guess that all generic aspects of the game can be attributed to bethesda zenimax oversight. everyone who was relevant to making the game bailed after zenimax/berthesda ruined the studio and bought it up.
i think if arcane had managed to fend off the hostile takeover like humanhead did, the game would not have been finished, received any qa or support. they would have shoved it out at best and relied on preorder and first month sales the way they did with brink.
remember how the guys who made it were not keen at all to make a sequel and bethesda was shouting that they have a new franchise from the rooftops? -
