'It's Time' for EA Sports UFC gameplay footage
EA Sports UFC gets its first gameplay video -- and it looks very realistic.
After months of seeing screenshots featuring life-like recreations of actual UFC fighters – as well as the legendary Bruce Lee – EA Sports has finally unleashed the first gameplay footage from its Octagon brawler, EA Sports UFC, featuring champs Anthony Pettis and Jose Aldo in action.
The six-minute clip shows how much detail EA Sports has put into the game's presentation, as the introductions are right on par with what one would expect from a UFC pay-per-view event, complete with introductions by Bruce Buffer and fighter crews up on the side of the Octagon.
From there, the fight begins, and you can see just how much effort EA put into its new engine, as the two combatants go at it both in standing combat and ground-and-pound action. Although not a lot of details were given on controls, it looks like players won't have too much of a problem going into the transition game.
EA Sports is expected to unveil more of the game during its pre-E3 press conference next month, a mere week before EA Sports UFC pounds its way to stores on June 17th for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
