Neverwinter 'Tyranny of Dragons' launching August 14
Neverwinter's fourth module, Tyranny of Dragons, will launch on August 14.
Tyranny of Dragons, the fourth module for Neverwinter, will launch on August 14, Cryptic and Perfect World announced today. The announcement didn't give much detail on what the expansion will entail, though from the name we have to assume it's about a corrupt dragon government that doesn't care for the needs of its constituents.
Perfect World did hint that this will help bridge characters and story lines between Neverwinter and the D&D Forgotten Realms universe in the tabletop game. The last module, Curse of Icewind Dale, launched just last week.
“This is a pivotal year for Dungeons & Dragons and we are thrilled to have Perfect World and Cryptic on board to make Neverwinter a key part of the D&D experience as we transition to the future,” said D&D brand director Nathan Stewart, in the announcement. “The new Tyranny of Dragons module is just the beginning of us bringing our new serialized entertainment to the fans of both tabletop and digital games.”
