Super Smash Bros gets male/female Villager options
Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS recognizes the diversity of Animal Crossing Villagers, which is why you'll get multiple skins to choose from, including female options.
The Animal Crossing Villager is one of many new characters joining the roster for Super Smash Bros. on Wii U and 3DS. But anyone that's played Nintendo's friendship simulator knows that there are villagers of all kinds that inhabit the world. Smash Bros is going to reflect this diversity by offering multiple playable Villager skins.
Series director Masahiro Sakurai showed off an image of selectable Villagers on Miiverse (via Joystiq). Sakurai makes sure to point out a pair of female villagers, who will be playable, as well.
The Villager marks the second character with a gender swap option, with Sakurai revealing earlier that the Wii Fit Trainer would feature a playable male counterpart.
Super Smash Bros. will arrive this summer on 3DS and is expected to land on Wii U in time for the holidays.
