Panzer General Online enters open beta
Panzer General Online, the free-to-play strategy game, has entered open beta. Those who participated in the closed beta get two extra tanks.
The free-to-play strategy game Panzer General Online entered closed beta late last year, but if you didn't get in, then you have your chance to play now. Ubisoft announced that the browser-based game is in open beta, offering access for all, and dropping a few new toys for existing closed beta players.
Closed beta participants get one German and one American tank for their efforts. According to the official announcement, the open beta includes new units that offer more strategic depth. It also makes improvements based on closed beta feedback, like a new version of Skirmish that pits you against other players using pre-constructed decks to assure that you're on equal footing.
Panzer General Online is a hybrid collectible card game and board game, with a dose of military history for good measure. You can sign up for the beta at the official site.
