Just in time for the NBA playoffs, 2K Sports has announced the latest entry in its ongoing basketball franchise, NBA 2K15. The publisher has already chosen a cover star for the game: Oklahoma City Thunder MVP Kevin Durant. The game is slated for a release on October 7th for PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4.

While more details will be revealed in the coming weeks, the MyPlayer mode could be getting some tweaks, given by this year's tagline: "Your time has come."

"I'm honored to be selected for the cover of NBA 2K," Durant said in the announcement. "I've been an avid fan and player of NBA 2K since I was a kid, and being selected as the sole cover athlete of NBA 2K15 is an amazing accomplishment at this point of my life."
