Nuclear Throne adds co-op multiplayer
Vlambeer's roguelike, Nuclear Throne, is getting two-player co-op, because the apocalypse is better with friends.
The apocalypse is usually better with friends, which is why Vlambeer is adding co-op multiplayer to their upcoming roguelike Nuclear Throne. The developer released some new footage of the game at PAX East, showing some more of the post-apocalyptic world and the many dangers that have come to inhabit it before showing some of the new two-player co-op feature, which will allow a pair of buddies to blast some radioactive rats together.
Vlambeer's Rami Ismail made the formal announcement through Nuclear Throne's Steam Greenlight page. In addition to co-op, the Steam Early Access version of the game is being updated with a number of bug fixes and optimized performance tweaks.
The final version of Nuclear Throne is expected to exit Steam Early Access later this year. The game will also come to PS4 and Vita.
