Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be smaller than Borderlands 2
"It's pretty big. I don't think it's going to be as big as Borderlands 2," Pitchford admitted.
Sequels are meant to be bigger and more badass than their predecessors. But what about Pre-Sequels? The upcoming interquel takes place in between Borderlands 1 and 2 and features interesting new gameplay features. But, it won't be bigger than the last Gearbox-developed game.
"It's pretty big. I don't think it's going to be as big as Borderlands 2," Pitchford admitted.
"It might be as big, or a little bigger, than Borderlands 1. It might be kind of in between the two," he told PC Gamer (via CVG).
Because the game isn't necessarily improving on tech, and because it isn't going to be larger than the previous game, Pitchford says that the game might not be a full-priced release either. He added that it "should be priced correctly, so we'll have to see what happens in the market and understand the actual total value proposition that's being offered."
Borderlands 2 was a massive thing. In fact, DLC support finally ends today with the release of Sir Hammerlock Versus the Son of Crawmerax.
