"We had a lot of people on the forums saying ‘can I play this on PlayStation 4?’ We had actually been anticipating that," he told IGN. Undoubtedly, that'll miff people who wanted to avoid double-dipping, especially after the studio repeatedly denied that a PS4 version was in the works.

"We weren't sure if it was going to go anywhere, but when we saw the fans clamoring for it we doubled-down, and put more effort behind it," Wells added.

Of course, given the lengthy development of the "Remastered" edition, it will be more than a mere port. Naughty Dog is promising 1080p, 60fps, and "higher resolution character models, better lighting, better shadows."

People bought a new console knowing there wasn't going to be many great games for the first year or two. Charge $29.99 and they will be fine with buying a second copy.

Unless there is a cheap 3 to 4 upgrade version, I think I'm going to skip Depression HD.

When they say the fans wanted it..who are they talking about?
When was this up for vote?
The game was just released for Christ sake. I still remember lines of dialog and what I was wearing when I played.
For this to make sense time would have had to pass, 5 years or more then bless us with this remastered game. Not a year (or less) later.
This is retarded with a capital R.
I'm just astonished as to how much of a pass is given to Sony and MS for having no games to sell, remastering last years game and selling them as new...but WiiU and Nintendo got raked over the coals for doing less than this.
They had backwards compatibility, you could use your old hardware with the new, and they had a steadier stream of new games coming out for their new system and NOTHING!
      Just hate.
$40 demos and remasters of year old games (at full price) and we love them.
      This is bad comedy.

I'm gonna be honest. This is a large part of why I bought a PS4

Finally a reason to buy a PS4. Certain friends will be happy.

Sounds rad, good thing I did not finish the game on the PS3.
