Xbox One Reputation warnings coming this month
Microsoft has announced that starting this month, it will begin sending out warnings to those with yellow "Needs Work" marks on their Xbox One Reputation system. Further offenses will lead to a the red zone, which includes penalties.
Microsoft is going to start rolling out warnings soon to those in the yellow zone on Xbox One, the company has announced. In the new console's Reputation System, yellow signifies "Needs Work" and players in that area risk dropping to the red zone, where penalties await.
"Beginning this month, some players will start receiving reputation warnings as their reputations drop due to feedback from the community," the announcement states. "The purpose of these communications is to remind players about their effect on the community and encourage them to have more positive interactions. These warnings are based on community feedback collected since Xbox One launched."
The announcement reiterated that those in the green zone will receive rewards, and the red zone will get penalized with reduced matchmaking and the inability to use Twitch broadcasting. It also stressed that the system is designed so as to not penalize for sporadic bad reports, or from false reports for griefing.

I'd also like to see something like this added to the planned perks:
Good reputation -> 10% off everything you buy on XBOX Live
Needs work -> Nothing
Avoid Me -> 25% increase on everything you buy on XBOX Live
Honestly, I think it would be a Win-Win situation for everyone except the problematic gamers. Nice people get better deals, jerks have a serious incentive to actually behave themselves and MS reduce the cost of moderating the community or even make a profit out of the rotten apples.-

You can't game the system as easily as you think. It would require a massive amount of coordination from all those trolls and MS could easily check you reporting history before considering their report. I'm pretty sure the trolls wouldn't be able to game the system and would be penalized for trying. -
