Why is the learning curve so high? Sure, you die very quickly, but the basics from any military fps apply (and are rewarded): stay in cover, stick with your team, fire in bursts, and take your time. And I haven't found the community to be critical in the 20 hours I've spent with it, at least, no more so than in any other game. You make it sound like League of Legends or something and it's really not that bad.

I haven't experienced this, but people do bitch if you're the last dude alive and aren't even trying to achieve one of the game's objectives while the timer runs out.
If you're the last dude alive when the goal is to blow up a weapon cache or capture a control point and you're just chilling in a sniper nest, then you haven't bothered to learn how to play the game.
