Video: Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes completed in ten minutes
Our Steve beat the game in about two hours, but if you know what you're doing, you can speed-through the game in ten minutes.
As noted in our review, Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes is very short. Our Steve beat the game in about two hours, but if you know what you're doing and skip optional objectives, you can speed through the game in ten minutes.
That's precisely what Eurogamer did, and here's the video for proof:

I think part of that is because this game is just a prologue for the real game. We've known for a while and basically been told "this won't be the real game". So people are already looking at from this angle when we find out it's $30 (on the new consoles), half the price of the MGS game we know is coming next year, yet we're getting what is obviously *FAR* less than half the amount of content, story, gameplay, etc. It seems like a pretty shitty deal.

It's adding to the perception that this is a glorified demo. Whether you have that view ultimately depends on your perspective, because I've heard views from both sides of the fence. One of my friends feel genuinely ripped off, while another one is really enjoying the game and going out of her way to explore every inch of it.

I'm diehard MGS fanboy, but I'll even attest that turning this into an individual product was a greedy and stupid mistake. They could have packaged this with Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 and wouldn't have had as much flack. Essentially this is about as equal value as the Tanker Mission demo of MGS2 that came with Zone of the Enders.

I've played like 12 or so hours so far and its more than what you would expect from a demo but less than what you would expect from the price. The content is top notch and for me is one of the best stealth games I've ever played but for someone who likes to play a game for its story or who doesn't want to play the missions over and over for better rankings and to experiment with different approaches and weapons will not get anything much out of it.
