GOG.com announces Linux support
GOG.com has announced plans to support Linux.
Linux gamers will have even more options to look forward to soon. GOG.com has announced plans to support Linux. The company expects to have over a hundred games available for purchase this fall. Many of these games will be classics that are being "officially supported" on the operating system for the first time. GOG will target Ubuntu and Mint at first. The company has already begun "testing games on a variety of configurations."
According to the announcement, GOG doesn't know what games will be supported at launch, "because we, ourselves, don't know what those games are." However, the company is glad that it can mark this off the community wishlist.
