Swords & Soldiers 2 is coming to Wii U, Ronimo Games has announced. The sequel to the 2009 original was teased with a short trailer, with more details to come at the Game Developers Conference in a few weeks. It will also be playable at PAX East.

Ronimo said that it will once again star Redbeard, but the relatively low stakes of putting on a BBQ contest has been replaced with world-ending doom. That certainly sounds like a sequel. The original was a colorful 2D MOBA of sorts, having you choose lanes to attack enemy strongholds and gain more ground. The trailer doesn't show any gameplay, but it's probably safe to assume it will follow along those lines.
