Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 PSN pre-orders get Mirror of Fate HD

PS3 owners looking to sink their teeth into the PS3 digital version of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will also get Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD as a pre-order incentive.

Dracula is prepared to take his vengeance at the end of this month, but there are some that might need somewhat of a refresher on how the Lords of Shadow trilogy has reached this point. If you're on PlayStation 3, a new pre-order offer might be able to help. Those that pre-order the digital version of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 through PlayStation Network will also receive a free copy of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - Mirror of Fate HD.

Mirror of Fate was originally released on the 3DS earlier in 2013. The game tells the tale of three of Castlevania's most prominent characters: Simon Belmont, Alucard, and Trevor Belmont, as they all explore the vast depths of Dracula's castle in a 2D action-plaformer. The story leads right into Lords of Shadow 2's modern-day setting, offering some valuable exposition, even if the game isn't necessarily great. The updated remake tosses in fresh HD visuals, online leaderboards and a Boss Russ mode.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 releases on February 25.
