Rovio has announced another Angry Birds game, this time with a pink lady bird taking the lead. "Angry Birds Stella" is a new spin-off starring a pink bird and her little bird friends. It will launch this fall, and will be supplemented with animations, books, and toys.

The announcement seems to imply a different kind of Angry Birds this time, as it focuses on Stella and her friends "finding creative solutions" and dealing with "serious issues" to protect their friendship. The announcement carefully tiptoes around saying anything about what Stella actually is, but it sounds aimed squarely at tween girls--in that corporate-focus-group sort of way. We'll have to wait to hear more, but with a fall launch planned, Rovio will have to roll out reveals relatively soon.
