BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea concludes on March 25

We're all set to see the end of BioShock Infinite, as publisher 2K this morning announced that Episode 2 of its story DLC Burial at Sea will launch on March 25. According to creator Ken Levine in today's announcement, it'll wrap things up and involve "nearly major every character" from both Infinite and the original BioShock. And it'll be a fair bit longer than the first episode too.

Asked on Monday by a fan on Twitter how long Episode 2 would take for a "completionist," Levine responded "5, maybe 6 hours." It'll be possible to finish it quicker, then, but if this is the end of Infinite, won't you want to take in it all?

While Irrational has said that playing as Elizabeth for once will be different to Booker, the first screenshot shows that still have something pretty basic in common: shooting men. She'll rely on stealth more than that clodhopper Booker, 2K said today.

Burial at Sea Episode 2 will cost $20 on its lonesome, or comes with the first episode and Infinite's $10 challenge mode DLC in the $30 DLC Season Pass. Here are the first few minutes of Episode 2, in an in-game cutscene revealed last week:

I'm glad Ep 2 will be longer. You're certainly right that it needs to be for the right reasons, not just filler to claim length. However, I was just starting to get back into the groove with Ep 1 when all of a sudden it ended. Felt really short to me - and I wasted as much time as possible exploring everywhere. Even found a bug that locked you in a small room with the airlock door spinning forever and not opening if you backtracked in the wrong spot.

Agreed. It was cool going back to see Rapture in the new engine but the gameplay wasn't that great.

Should probably get in to this episode story at some point, but I suppose I'll wait for the inevitable discount coming by summer sale in Steam.

Just too much to play now and Infinite was such a disappointment in the end even though everything looked first so glorious.
