Gameloft is making a mobile game based on Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Another Marvel movie is hitting theaters soon, which means another licensed Gameloft game is hitting smartphones. Gameloft is making an iOS and Android game based on Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It will be available in late March, just in time for the movie's April 4th release.

"Players can expect a truly involved Captain America experience, with many characters from both the movie and the comics," Gameloft VP Karine Kaiser said in the announcement. The game will have players controlling Captain America leading a team of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents in a battle against various Marvel villains. The story is "inspired" by the film, but won't be exactly the same.

Sega said they were officially bowing out of making the games after the one based on the 1st Thor movie. Also with Activision saying they will be getting out of the Licensed Game biz (other than the upcoming game they are making based on Amazing Spider-Man 2). Not to mention that THQ went bankrupt, there really isn't any of the go-to publishers of the games to make them anymore.

Not to mention the fact that game development's inflating budgets and not to the fact Disney owns Marvel and their complete abandonment of the console space.

Sega has published some horrendous games as of late. The heartless Alien games are an example of the state of their current games.

Everyone gets on the Nintendo should fold bandwagon, yet Nintendo continues to produce polished high quality gaming experiences. I want to get on the Nintendo is good, all other gaming is evil, bandwagon.

By "Sega said they were officially bowing out of making the games" I meant the Marvel Studios Movies games. Not making games entirely.

Crappy movie license game have always been targeted at the super casual buyer, so why not only publish on the super casual platform.
