Thief trailer teaches 'Thief 101' as game goes gold
Cor, what's this then, a game about stealing things? Clever name, Thief. So what's it about then? If you haven't been paying attention to Eidos Montreal's continuation of the classic Looking Glass series, here, a new trailer titled 'Thief 101' gives a fair rundown of the game. It's gone gold t'boot, publisher Square Enix announced today.

The six-minute trailer broadly introduces the game's story, world, as well as its stealth, stealing, murdering, upgrades, tools, abilities, and all that. It's a bit of a murderous trailer but, well, it is marketing for a big-budget game from a big publisher--that's just standard. Which I don't say purely to keep my hopes up that it'll recapture some of that old Thief spirit.
With the final discs gone out for replication and distribution, Thief will launch on February 25 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Here's the new trailer:

I'm really excited for Thief. I think the video is a little overlong but conveys the efforts the team have put into satisfy the fans. I, like x-eyd|mary, will be going in non-lethal but probably not ghost. If the game lives up to the video's claims of "any approach" then I will be truly satisfied. Can't wait for the 25th.
