F2P Dungeon Keeper out on iOS and Android
At long last, a new Dungeon Keeper is upon is! Oh. A new free-to-play mobile Dungeon Keeper. That's a bit different, then. Still, you might be curious to see how Mythic has turned Bullfrog's beloved dungeon overlord RTS into a tower defense/offense-ish asynchronous multiplayer doodad, and can do so now on iOS and Android.

Like Bullfrog's classic, Mythic's Dungeon Keeper will see you (or your minions) carving out a dungeon from the rock, recruiting new monsters, building traps to defend it, and generally being opposed to evil. And maybe urging you to spend a little of your real cash to instantly do things artificially limited by time, as F2P games often do. You'll invade other players' dungeons (or AI's) to ransack them, and have yours invaded in turn.
The game soft-launched in a few countries last year, but now is available worldwide through the iTunes App Store and Google Play.

UGH. Spent some time with this and what a waste of the IP. It's basically like those flash games where you build a base, gather resource and go attack other people and be attacked. You can spend gems to speed up the building/researching parts. It's not the original where monsters are attracted to your dungeon. You just summon them. For a longer and longer period of time, or, yeah, just spend some gems!
You only get the one base, which is why they do the progressively long dig time what people are complaining about. I kinda get that as a game mechanic, but at 1 block at a time as a way to push people to spend money, that's just going to get you deleted.
It's all too much too soon to even want to see if the game gets any funner. The humor isn't the same as the original either. You have to go into a menu to slap your goblins rather than just swipe at them on the screen - which as touchy as it is to accidentally select a block and start digging it out I can see why they may have done it that way. Also, it's so touchy it's hard to zoom in and out of, making difficult to play on a phone.

"Dungeon Keeper on mobile phones is pure money grabbing shite. I hope everyone involved with it is ashamed."
"I went to dig a SINGLE block out. It said I had to wait A DAY."
"24 hours for one block? Fuck you @EA. Also it has a £70 microtransation that is reffered to as "best value." Again. Fuck you."
"It costs £1.49 to dig out that one 24 hour block. This is fucking sickening."
