Dead Rising 3 ships one million in first month
Capcom has announced that in its first month, Dead Rising 3 shipped one million units to stores.
Dead Rising 3 was one of the better-reviewed Xbox One launch games, and its sales numbers seem to reflect that. Capcom has announced that in its first month, the zombie-slaying sequel surpassed one million units shipped. The figures didn't detail how many had been sold-through to players.
By comparison, Dead Rising 2 shipped 2 million in roughly the same time period, but that was on a much more mature console. Microsoft sold 3 million Xbox One systems by the end of the year, so even approaching one million sold would be a strong attach rate for the new system. Capcom also touted 7 million Dead Rising lifetime shipments, and 14 million hours of Dead Rising 3 played.
Our own review was pleased with the zombie mayhem and crafting, but felt the larger open world detracted from the experience.
