Mew-Genics demonstrates the miracle of cat birth
What will the breeding process look like in Team Meat's Mew-Genics? Team Meat has just the answer that Shacknews readers will appreciate the most: an animated GIF.
So far, we know that Team Meat's Mew-Genics will have you raise and breed different types of cats. But exactly what will the breeding process look like? Fortunately, the studio behind Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac has the type of answer that the Shacknews readership will appreciate the most: an animated GIF.
The image can be found in the Team Meat blog and shows a mother cat giving birth to a new litter of kittens. The excited (perhaps too excited) cat on the left is the father. Aside from making you scratch your head, the image serves another purpose and that's to illustrate how genes are passed down.
now lets look at the kittens. they are currently in "kitten form" (and change a bit when they "evolve" or grow up) but already we can see the genes from both parents are clearly at work here. the 1st kitten (Fanky II) seems to have his fathers head shape, body and tail, but its mothers body markings. it also seems like Fanky appears to be more of a pure bred texture wise than his mother, having her body markings on his head, torso, tail and ears... this is also considered pretty beautiful by cat pageant standards...obvi.
You'll be able to create your own army of adorable kittens when Mew-Genics releases on PC and iOS later in 2014.
