MX vs. ATV Supercross revives former THQ series
THQ shelved its MX vs. ATV series in 2011 as part of the publisher's drawn-out collapse, but when it finally fell Nordic Games picked up the franchise, along with Darksiders, Red Faction, and more. Of all these, it said, it was closest to announcing something new for the off-road racer, and here it is: MX vs. ATV Supercross is coming in the first half of 2014.

Supercross is bringing its dirtbikes and ATVs to PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Mac, and Linux, with Nordic noting it "has the scope of a downloadable game." Development is handled by a team including "numerous" folks who've worked on the series before and other industry "veterans."
The gang are also working on past MX vs. ATV games, 2009's Reflex and 2011's Alive, planning to bring back their multiplayer on consoles, the Motoclub Depot DLC store, and more features.
"A lot of the original team members have been aching to continue their passion: building the most authentic off-road racing games possible. The hiatus is over, and the team is back to work on MX vs. ATV with great new things to come," executive producer Ken George said in today's announcement.
