The folks at Indie Fund are backing a new project Loveshack Entertainment. Framed centers around manipulating comic book-style frames to craft completely different stories and outcomes.

The noir-styled Framed follows the tale of a detective on the run from the police, as he endeavors to clear his name. As the story unfolds, players will be able to arrange panels in different arrangements, sending the detective down alternative paths. For more details, you can check out the trailer below.

Framed has taken 'Excellence in Design' honors at IGF China 2013 and was an official selection at Tokyo Game Show's Sense of Wonder Night 2013. The game is expected to release in the first half of 2014 on PC and iOS.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
