LEGO The Hobbit first trailer shows off movie cast
With hobbits and dwarves now frolicking around the screen of a cinema near you, Warner Bros. today released the first trailer for its latest plastic adaptation, LEGO The Hobbit. As with TT Games' LEGO The Lord of the Rings, this is lifting dialogue and plot from the movies, then slapping in a hearty dose of LEGO silliness.

Curiously, Warner Bros. is choosing to release the game in spring 2014, between the second and third movie of Peter Jackson's trilogy, and only cover events of the first two. I suppose that means WB can release another game after the third movie arrives next December.
LEGO The Hobbit is coming to, deep breath, PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Vita, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and Vita. Here, have a gander at it in this debut trailer:

Too bad it's based on the movies rather than the much superior book. With LOTR, the differences were not so extreme and LEGO LOTR was a very nice game. However with this one, I'm worried that the mediocre movies will sour the quality of the game. (Never thought I'd say that about a video game based on a movie!)
