Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas now on iOS
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is now available on iOS devices for $6.99. It features enhanced graphics, cloud saves, more checkpoints, and physical controller support.
As promised, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has hit iOS devices today. It's available for $6.99 on iPhone 4s, iPad 2 and later, and Rockstar promises it will be coming soon to Android, Kindle, and Windows Phone.
This release of San Andreas boasts remastered graphics, lighting, and an improved palette, dynamic shadows, physical controller support, cloud saves, an updated checkpoint system, dual analog controls, and three different touch control options. It's also the entire San Andreas game, which was pretty massive to start with. You can find it now on the App Store.
"Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was a giant leap forward for the series, bringing the early '90s West Coast to life in a massive world full of possibilities," said Rockstar founder Sam Houser, in the announcement. "We're thrilled for players to experience it all on mobile devices."

If you're saying that they should put it out for Xbone and PS4 with updated HD graphics then there's just no pleasing you. -

these are expensive because they have battery chargers built in. i'm waiting for one that has dual sticks and no battery charger. no way i'd spend $100 on a fucking controller. -

I'm hoping iCade/ThinkGeek are re-tooling the 8-Bitty for MFi support.

Yeah it really needs to be played with a controller. I struggled through most of Vice City (which actually has better touch controls than most games) but it just got too frustrating after awhile. You need to be precise with your driving and shooting in GTA games and with touch controls I was always kinda holding my breath and hoping that I didn't mess up.
That being said, San Andreas on my iPad would be rad.
