Obsidian's Project Eternity has undergone a name change. The Kickstarter-backed old-school RPG will now be known as Pillars of Eternity. The studio is celebrating the new branding with a fresh new teaser trailer and some announcements regarding a new backer portal.
The details come in a new blog post from the Obsidian team. Backers will be able to manage their pledges through the new portal, allowing them manage their donations linked to their email account and also manage any rewards that they'll receive in return.
Pillars of Eternity is expected to launch in April 2014 for PC, Mac, and Linux. For a taste of what the game will entail, check out the teaser below.

i wonder about the run animation actually. does it strike anyone as odd to have the characters running everywhere, from an immersion stand point?
i remember that baldur's and icewind dale had the characters walking everywhere, and honestly, i think i prefer that. maybe have running sometimes when it's appropriate
