The Last of Us movie domains registered by Sony
Sony Pictures has registered two domain names for a movie adaptation of The Last of Us, implying that it may be planned.
The critically acclaimed The Last of Us may be destined for a film adaptation. Sony has registered two domain names that seem to indicate an intent, or at least an openness, to making it a movie.
GameSpot reports that Sony Pictures registered the domains 'TheLastOfUsMovie.net' and 'TheLastOfUs-Movie.com.' Notably, TheLastOfUsMovie.com already exists, but it's for a small film project unrelated to the game. Sony hasn't announced any film project, and the domain registrations could just be a case of having them reserved for a rainy day.
Naughty Dog's other marquee series, Uncharted, has been in talks for a film adaptation since 2009. It's gone through various script revisions, and producer Avi Arad recently described it as a "father and son game."
