Described as a "metagame," it is a game that takes place on top of the multiplayer modes that are already included in the base game. The various modes in Ghosts match up to a node on the Clan Wars map, and you and your Clan members can take over those nodes by performing well online. Controlling nodes will give you in-game bonuses.
The goal of Clan Wars was to be additive in a way that wasn't distracting. "It doesn't hinder you," Beachhead's John Linden told official Activision blog One of Swords. "Most likely, if you you're in a Clan of at least three people but you never get the mobile app and never really pay attention to Clan Wars, you're going to get bonuses in the game every now and then."
So while you may occasionally get bonuses simply by playing, you'll probably want to coordinate if you want to win the metagame. "You're not going to win the overall War if you're not paying attention to it, or if you don't have a Clan leader directing the team. If you don't add that level of strategy, you're not going to win," Linden added.
To get started with Clan Wars, you'll want to download the Call of Duty Mobile app. It's available on iOS, Android, Windows 8, and Windows Phone.

I'm the opposite. Never a huge fan of it and this iteration both pleased and surprised me in several ways. And unlike over-rated and over-hyped BF4 (which I had previously been super excited for), this one is stable and runs butter smooth on high settings. No crashes.
MP offers some of the coolest game modes I've played in forever. I'll take a game that works any day over one that's broken, right BF4?
