Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition now more-or-less definite
An awfully strong hint from Square Enix has (almost) confirmed the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for the new generation of consoles.
A Tomb Raider port on new generation consoles is now a near-certainty. Following a retailer leak, Square Enix has issued a statement that doesn't technically confirm the so-called "Definitive Edition," but wink-wink nudge-nudge kind of does.
"It's so hard to keep a secret these days!" the company stated in an e-mail. "We appreciate all of the enthusiasm, however we don't have any details to share just yet. That said, we highly recommend you keep an eye on any major gaming events happening in early December."
That's an awfully strong hint, to the point that it might not even qualify as a hint anymore. It's more the corporate equivalent of saying "I have no idea what you're talking about" while smiling and nodding your head.
The leak only covered the PlayStation 4 version, but a placeholder link may have been for the Xbox One version as well. It's said to include all of the previous Tomb Raider DLC, and pre-orders would include special packaging and an art book.
