There's really no way to sugarcoat this: Ryse: Son of Rome has not been getting particularly great buzz. But it is awfully pretty, at least, and the newly-released launch trailer shows off the visuals. If nothing else, it will be a showpiece for your shiny new Xbox One, right?

In it, we get to see some nice cinematic snippets of the fight sequences, strategically cut so they aren't quite as brutal as they would be. I mean, you're still watching a sword enter a man through his shoulder, but at least it doesn't linger on the gruesome.
