Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster coming to PS3 on March 18
Final Fantasy X/X-2 Remaster will hit the PlayStation 3 on March 18 for $39.99, Square Enix has announced.
Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster will hit PlayStation 3 on March 18, 2014. That still very barely qualifies it for its previously announced winter release window. Square announced the date today, along with a Limited Edition for the set of two games.
As previously reported, the remastered games will include Eternal Calm (FFX) and Last Mission (FFX-2) that were previously only in the International versions. FFX-2 will also get a extended ending with some new voice-over work.
This is only the PS3 version, mind, and Square Enix says that the date for the Vita version will be announced sometime later.
As with the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 package, pre-orders will be upgraded to a Limited Edition, which comes with an artbook. Both versions of the game will retail for $40.

And once again, no info on the Vita version. I've pretty much given up hope, as the Vita version already appears as though it will be a rip-off. From what I've read Squeenix is breaking the two games up and selling them separately on Vita, and it hasn't even been confirmed if there will be a physical retail box for either game at all (doubtful...who would want to buy two separate games when they can get a deluxe PS3 version for the same price).
My hope is that in addition to the PS3 version of the game (which I've reluctantly pre-ordered), they'll offer a special discount on the vita versions and enable cross-save/cross-play between them. I'd be willing to pay an extra $10-20 for that. -
