For many, a console's ability to stream entertainment apps is just as important as the ability to play games. PS4 already has a number of apps available on day one. But what will be available on Xbox One? If you've used Xbox 360, many of these won't be too surprising.
- Amazon Instant Video
- Crackle
- CWTV
- ESPN
- FOX NOW
- FXNOW
- HBO GO
- Hulu Plus
- Machinima
- MUZU TV
- Netflix
- Redbox Instant by Verizon
- Target Ticket
- TED
- The NFL on Xbox One
- Twitch
- Univision Deportes
- Verizon FiOS TV
- VUDU
Some of these apps may not be available on day one. Instead, Microsoft says these will be available "at launch and spring 2014."
One unique feature to Xbox One is the ability to use Bing to search through the entire library of apps to find the content you're looking for. For example, if you really want to see Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, you'll be able to find out if it's available on Amazon, Netflix, or VUDU.
In addition to the third-party entertainment apps, Xbox One will also have access to Microsoft-developed apps and services like Xbox Fitness, Xbox Video, Xbox Music, Internet Explorer, Skype, SkyDrive, and Upload.
