Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z coming March 4
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is hitting on March 4, according to a newly released trailer.
Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z is the tale of a cyborg ninja with rage issues cutting a path through zombies to exact revenge on the usual series protagonist. You know, that old story. We found it enjoyably goofy at E3, and now Tecmo Koei has sliced out a date: March 4.
The date appears at the end of the latest trailer, in which Yaiba is walked through some of his cybernetic enhancements while engaging in some light flirtation with his handler. Wait, flirtation, that's not it. What's the term we're looking for? Oh yeah, aggressive sexual harassment. Yaiba is not a good dude, and delivers that message with all the subtlety of a meteor to the face.

I really want to care about this game but the combat looks so...vacuous and detached. Ninja Gaiden Black had you constantly under pressure and switching between attacking and defending fluidly and dynamically. If they can't match that, why bother? People who play these games don't want to pummel zombies. :(

wow. has any series nosedived as violently as ninja gaiden? i remember how amazing the xbox one was. it was really revelatory. just an amazing timing and skill-based action game. very rewarding. not too serious. great bosses and monsters. gory as hell.
then the sequel. weaker in many areas. but, great great weapons. tons of viable weapons and amazing technique. some shit bosses, but some great ones. overall still fun. still had the spirit.
then it all went to shit. and it seems to still be living there, in the shit heap.
i'd love a ninja gaiden 1 xbox-type game by the original visionaries on a next-gen console. simple story; crazy creatures; shitty one-liners; insane timing-based combat with tons of combos.
