NBA 2K14 next-gen screenshots show off updated MyGM & MyCareer modes

Many consider NBA 2K14 to be one of the prettiest games available for the launch of the next generation. But the upcoming PS4 and Xbox One version of 2K Sports' basketball game isn't just about good looks. There's also new content to be found, as well. For example, there's the return of MyGM mode, which has been completely reimagined over previous iterations. After creating a new basketball athlete, player swill become GMs, negotiating new contracts and building relationships through a new conversation engine. "In MyGM, there are no right answers, and there are no wrong answers," senior producer Erick Boenisch told Polygon. "There are only actions and reactions. You create your own story." MyCareer has also been updated, and features interactive cutscenes. In this mode, your custom character will rise from rookie and work his way into the league, all while dealing with a rival. Sounds like Pokemon to us.

      So torn about this because the console version does cost 60-70€ compared to the PC version for about 25€ at GMG. But it looks like the best launch game option, especially because of the couch factor plus playing with friends.

      Also my last basketball game was NBA live 98... Am I in for a hell of a ride?

        PC version is the current gen version. Not even in this version's league.

        NBA Live 98 your last basketball game? Prepare to suck for a little bit. 2K can be unforgiving at times.
