Sonic ports and new originals make up Sega's mobile plans
Sega announced its winter mobile line-up today, including original games Demon Tribe and a new Rhythm Thief, along with ports of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and All-Stars Racing Transformed.
Sega is still pushing hard on mobile platforms, and today announced four more games coming this winter to iOS and Android: two original games, and two ports. The new titles are Demon Tribe, and Rhythm Thief & the Paris Caper. Demon Tribe is a blend of MOBA, card battle, and action RPG elements with 3v3 multiplayer. It's due this winter for iOS devices. Rhythm Thief is a follow-up to The Emperor's Treasure, and it will come in early 2014.
Sonic has two releases of his own, both of them console ports. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Remastered is coming in November. The updated version includes remastered audio and visuals, and runs at 60 FPS. It will be available for the first time to Android owners, and iOS players who already have Sonic 2 will get the remastered version as a free update.
Sonic brings along his cadre of friends, plus other Sega royalty, for a mobile version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed. The iOS and Android versions are due this winter, sporting a revamped world tour and 4-player local and online races.
