Next-gen isn't just about prettier visuals. No, EA Sports has released a new trailer for the PS4 and Xbox One version of Madden NFL 25 that talks about all the fancy new features enabled by the beefier specs of the upcoming consoles.
For example, Player Sense is improved in next-gen, as they're making more calculations than ever before. "Players make up to 50 times the contextual decisions they ever have before, bringing a new level of intelligence to every player on the field," EA says. Linemen also make four times as many decisions, and there's 300 new blocking animations for the next-gen versions.
Madden NFL 25 will be ready in time for the next-gen console launches.

Can't speak for others but from my pov it just seems like EA charges full price for content that largely consists of minor tweaks and roster changes. It's annoying when companies come out with new and original games and lose their shirt while EA can put out a roster update, slap on a new title, and sell millions of copies of Madden every single year.
