Zynga is taking their free-to-play MOBA Solstice Arena to PC. Previously available only on iOS, the publisher has released the game on Steam, with cross-play enabled across all platforms.

Solstice Arena is billed as the first "Speed MOBA," in the sense that the average match will last between 5 and 12 minutes. Game modes include 3-on-3 arena battles either solo, co-op, or PvP and some of the traditional aspects of MOBA's (minions and farming) have been set aside in order to create faster games. New heroes and skins can be purchased by spending valor, gained through natural gameplay or through in-app purchases. The mobile original was well-received by critics.

The PC and Mac versions of Solstice Arena will feature optimized mouse controls, allowing for single or multi-button layouts. Zynga will continue to push out free content, including new heroes and skins, every couple of weeks across all platforms.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
