2K and Firaxis have decided that they like their civilizations like they like their eggs: scrambled. Civilization 5 is getting two new map packs with that theme for $4.99 apiece. The Scrambled Continents pack is available now, and the Scrambled Nations pack will come on November 5. Both are inspired by the "Scramble for Africa" scenario in the Brave New World expansion. Scrambled Continents includes Africa, Eastern Asia, North and South America, Western Europe Middle East, a thawed version of Antarctica, small continents maps, Oceania, and one map that includes all of the continents. The announcement promises that despite the familiar settings, the landscape of each changes randomly for added replay value. Scrambled Nations includes Canada, Australia, Japan, Scandinavia, Great Britain, and China. Similarly, it includes the basic geography of each area, but with random elements making up what is inside each nation.
