Angry Birds Go! kart racing revealed
Rovio has been teasing Angry Birds Go! since June, but only today finally confirmed what everyone suspected: it's a kart racer. Arriving on December 11, it'll send birds and pigs kareening downhill, collecting coins and power-ups. Like with Angry Birds Star Wars II, you can unlock vehicles by buying Hasbro's 'Telepod' figures.

It's, you know, a kart racing game, with characters who have different powers, karts to upgrade, and those other sorts of things you'd want in a kart racing game.
Angry Birds Go! is coming free-to-play to iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8, and BlackBerry 10, initially at least. Hit the official site for more, and peep this trailer:

Here lately there haven't been too many kart racers (I seem to recall a real glut of them on the PC back in the 90's) but really outside of Mario Kart are there many these days?
Actually now that I think about it the kart racer is pretty much the #2 "paste your IP in" genre - Sonic, Shrek, LittleBigPlanet, Chocobo, Burger King), and this game looks to be the same. Unless it's actually good, which might be interesting. In a way it just needs to be better than most games, not necessarily better than Mario Kart.
#1 "paste your IP in" genre is endless runner games.
