Dragon's Crown will support PS3-Vita cross-play

Dragon's Crown will receive a cross-play patch soon, so PS3 and Vita owners will soon be able to join up in the same session.

When Atlus first revealed Dragon Crown's release date, the publisher said that cross-platform play simply wouldn't be possible. Thankfully developer VanillaWare seems to have overcome the technical hurdles to and is bringing Cross-Play between PS3 and Vita in a new patch, due soon.

Atlus confirmed the cross-play patch yesterday. The patch will allow PS3 and Vita owners to join each other's sessions. However, although the game supports cross-play, there is no cross-buy. You'll still have to buy each game separately on the PlayStation Store.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

Damnit i was hoping for Cross-Buy that would have been a instant purchase for me. Right now they want too much for this.

I've been reading the news assuming it was cross-buy.. so after a month or so since launch they've added cross play? Wasn't that there at launch for those that forked out the cash for two copies?
