Rod Fergusson sure knows how to keep busy. After serving as executive producer on the Gears of War series, he left to help Irrational Games wrap up BioShock Infinite. And then he left. Now, he's forming a new 2K Games studio in the San Francisco area.

"It's official: I'm launching a new studio for 2K in the Bay Area with an exciting new project! Details soon," he tweeted.

We reached out to 2K Games for more info. "We are happy to confirm that Rod is heading up a new development studio, but we have no further announcements at this time," a representative told Shacknews.

2K Games already has a studio in the Bay Area with 2K Marin. That team recently shipped The Bureau: XCOM Declassified.
