Assassin's Creed Pirates coming to mobile this fall
Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed Pirates today, a mobile naval combat game that takes place alongside Assassin's Creed 4.
It's a pirate's life for Ubisoft. The company announced Assassin's Creed Pirates today, another swashbuckling title to tie into the launch of Assassin's Creed 4. But this one is more strategic, built for mobile devices, and stars an entirely new pirate. It's due out this fall.
You'll be playing as Alonzo Batilia, in the same Golden Age that AC4 takes place. Batilia is on the hunt for the legendary treasure of the pirate La Buse, and along the way he'll come in contact with Assassins, Templars, and infamous pirates like Blackbeard, Bellamy, and Hornigold. Naturally, you'll be engaging in naval combat, so you'll need to upgrade your ship with better equipment and recruit new scalawags to help you wage war. It will feature an real-time naval combat across the open-world Caribbean sea, similar to that found in AC4.
