Assassin's Creed Liberation HD confirmed for PC and consoles

Word of Assassin's Creed Liberation HD leaked last week, but we had no idea what it was beyond wildly guessing it was an HD revamp of Vita spin-off Well gee gosh golly, that's exactly what it is, Ubisoft announced today, coming for download on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Ubisoft says Liberation HD has "a complete graphical overhaul, re-mastered music and sound effects, a revamped gameplay experience, and new missions that dive deeper into Aveline's story."
Liberation was released alongside Assassin's Creed 3 in October 2012 as a handheld spin-off with a new story and main character, Aveline. We weren't particularly thrilled with it, though part of that was due to sloppy use of Vita's touch interfaces and camera.
Assassin's Creed Liberation HD is due a downloadable release in "early 2014."

Still haven't finished this for the Vita, maybe I didn't get far enough but it was so linear in the way you had to approach situations. You had those 3 different types of outfits you could wear, but you couldn't use them as you liked to complete assassinations, each mission had a specific outfit you had to use.
The trailer does say they revamped the controls and combat system so maybe it will be worth a look.-
I don't think I really dug the game until it branched out beyond just New Orleans. For whatever reason I never see any of the other environs in screen shots, so when the story line began involving some travel out of the city I got really pulled in and finished the rest of the game within the week.

Yep- I won't spoil anything for ya, but I found myself way more intrigued by some of the other areas in that game than I was by the frontier stuff in AC3 with Conner. I think I also ended up liking Aveline more than Conner.
