Roguelike-puzzler Road Not Taken coming to PC, PS4, and Vita in 2014
Triple Town developer Spry Fox has announced that its roguelike puzzle game Road Not Taken will hit Steam, PlayStation 4, and Vita in early 2014.
Spry Fox, the studio behind the mobile game Triple Town, has announced that its next puzzle game is coming to PC, PS4, and Vita in early 2014. The roguelike hybrid, titled Road Not Taken, was announced earlier this year with a 2013 target, but the studio has updated its release plans with more platforms.
A post on the official site announced the release. Road Not Taken is based (very loosely) on the Robert Frost poem, having you wander through a snowy forest. Along the way you'll encounter animals, impassable barriers, and lost kids. A post on the PlayStation Blog says it focuses on the question: "What happens when life’s events throw you off the path you expected to take?"
Since it's a roguelike, you'll die quite a bit, but each one promises to be a learning experience as you figure your way through the game. Check out the trailer below.
