NHL 14 is promising a better hockey experience, with additions like an updated Collision Physics system and improved stick skills. But let's face it, hockey fans. If you hear that NHL 14 is getting the Enforcer Engine from the Fight Night series, you really want to know about one thing. How does the fighting work?

Fighting is triggered by a simple press of a button. The shoulder buttons are used for dodges and clinches, but only when timed correctly. The analog sticks can be used to lean in, push and pull opponents, or throw a punch. The full explanation can be seen in the video below.

NHL 14 arrives on Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 10.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?
