Killzone: Shadow Fall to offer free DLC multiplayer maps
Killzone: Shadow Fall's multiplayer mode has come to Gamescom, along with the announcement that any DLC multiplayer maps will be offered at no extra cost.
Breaking the trend from DLC Season Passes, developer Guerrilla Games has promised that new multiplayer maps for Killzone: Shadow Fall will be free of charge. "We plan to continue support for the title well after launch--and yes, DLC multiplayer maps will be released free of charge to ensure everyone can play." Killzone community manager Victor Zuylen said.
A blog post from the official Killzone site details Shadow Fall's multiplayer. It will feature eight rotating mission modes, including four that are new to the series, and a revamped progression system that rewards challenges over traditional XP. Much of it is detailed in the new multiplayer trailer, which can be seen below.
Killzone: Shadow Fall is set to launch alongside the PS4 on November 15.
