Breaking the trend from DLC Season Passes, developer Guerrilla Games has promised that new multiplayer maps for Killzone: Shadow Fall will be free of charge. "We plan to continue support for the title well after launch--and yes, DLC multiplayer maps will be released free of charge to ensure everyone can play." Killzone community manager Victor Zuylen said.

A blog post from the official Killzone site details Shadow Fall's multiplayer. It will feature eight rotating mission modes, including four that are new to the series, and a revamped progression system that rewards challenges over traditional XP. Much of it is detailed in the new multiplayer trailer, which can be seen below.

Killzone: Shadow Fall is set to launch alongside the PS4 on November 15.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

That cool. For all the people that hate on companies charging for DLC, you should be applauding this.
