It looks good, and the preview Andrew did was certainly positive enough (http://www.shacknews.com/article/79151/the-bureau-xcom-declassified-preview-mash-effect), plus the boatload of gameplay trailers they put out seemed alright.
Honestly, I'd chalk it up to Gamescom 2013 this week. It comes out the 20th, which is the same day there are conferences by both Sony and Microsoft. It's really not a great week to launch.-
Maybe it's just me, but the situation looks clear.
2K tried to rip off fans by creating some shoddy 60's bunk of a covershooter with the XCOM tag attached.
Firaxis held true to the fanbase and made a tremendous game in the spirit of the orginal. Fans and newcomers alike rejoiced.
2K quietly thought "Oh, shit..." and tried to haphazardly restructure their game as some kind of turn based cover shooter, that's probably still bunk.
Firaxis sit and laugh as no one notices or cares about The Bureau : XCOM yada, yada, name too long anyway.

Well they had a Giant Bomb Quick Look EX for it a few weeks ago and it looked awesome to me. If I had the money for it I would have already pre-ordered it. But once it releases I am going to see if the 2k Games game credit I got for getting Bioshock Infinite from Amazon will work for it. (Game credit specified it can't be used for pre-orders, but doesn't say anything about not being able to use it for games that haven't come out yet after the pre-order period ends.)
