Capybara's Below not exclusive to Xbox One

Capybara debuting Below at Microsoft's E3 presentation may have led to the idea that it would be an Xbox One-exclusive. This is not the case, according to the developer.

One of the few indie titles that Microsoft paraded out in front of a captive E3 audience was Below from Capybara (Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP). Although published by Microsoft, it will not be exclusive to Xbox One.

Nathan Vella & Kris Piotrowski issued a statement on Capybara's website, noting that Below will arrive on Microsoft's console first, but will also expand to other platforms after a brief period of exclusivity. "Like many games on stage at E3, Below will be available on the Xbox One first. Then, after a period of time, CAPY can bring it elsewhere. It’s always been this way."

Specific platforms are not named, though the latest issue of Game Informer does mention PC and PS4.

Ozzie has been playing video games since picking up his first NES controller at age 5. He has been into games ever since, only briefly stepping away during his college years. But he was pulled back in after spending years in QA circles for both THQ and Activision, mostly spending time helping to push forward the Guitar Hero series at its peak. Ozzie has become a big fan of platformers, puzzle games, shooters, and RPGs, just to name a few genres, but he’s also a huge sucker for anything with a good, compelling narrative behind it. Because what are video games if you can't enjoy a good story with a fresh Cherry Coke?

I am SO happy about this because this was one of few games which really caught my interest at the MS presentation. I love the style these guys put into their games. I just hope it doesn't take TOO long to get to PS4.
